Soulful Sunday at The Solebury Club
July 13, 2014 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
You are invited to The Solebury Club’s new community yoga class. The class is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10, to benefit a charitable organization of the instructor’s choice. Participants must be able to come in and out of poses in a timely manner with ease.
Each month, on the second Sunday, we invite you to experience the different styles of yoga that The Solebury Club has to offer and to be of service to your larger community. All collected donations will go directly to the chosen cause.
We invite you to bring a friend, try out different styles of yoga, help build our community and feed your soul.
Date: Sunday, July 13th from 10:30-11:30 AM
Instructor: Maureen Shortt, E-RYT 600
Style: Svaroopa® Yoga*
Benefiting: Meghan’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization that develops trauma-sensitive yoga and meditation programs to help combat veterans cope with trauma. www.meghansfoundation.org.
*Svaroopa yoga is a slow, gentle, safe style of yoga, using supporting props such as blankets and blocks, in every pose. This support allows you to experience the maximum healing benefits of the poses without strain. The poses are simple and most are done lying or sitting, with no sense of striving or struggling. Svaroopa is a yoga done for personal healing and inner realization, not for athleticism or competition.
