On October 7th, 2012 Meghan’s Foundation held its first fundraiser at The Living Earth, New Hope, PA, an indoor and outdoor garden and gift center. We raised over $750.00 from the sale of photography.
We are both amateur photographers and have been taking pictures for many years just for our own pleasure. Remarkably, in the past year there has been a growing interest in our work ,and with the help of some of our foundation volunteers and the tremendous support of Sue Fagnani, owner of The Living Earth, we held a photography show of our matted and framed photos.
Thom is drawn to black and white photography with its dramatic contrast and natural lines of nature in trees, creeks mountains, streams and rivers. Maureen is inspired to magnify the center of a colorful flower or a portion of a landscape to explore the depth of beauty and the profound within.
Gregory Benjamin, purveyor of fine jams and perserves, was offering samples of his products that day as well and made a generous donation to the foundation. Check his products out at his website: gregorybenjaminsbest.com.
And be sure to visit The Living Earth website at: newhopelivingearth.com.
Stay tuned as the foundation grows. We are planning to offer our photography as one of the foundations fundraising efforts.
